A careerexploration opportunity for students in grades 10 - 12 from Boyle School

The CanadianMedical Hall of Fame invites interested high school students and young adultlearners across British Columbia, Alberta, the Yukon and Northwest Territoriesto join us online on November 20 to explore careers in medicine and the healthsciences in our 3rd annual Discovery Days in Health Sciences ONLINE inWestern Canada.

A full dayprogram, the event opens at 8:30 am PT | 9:30 am MT on the event platform Accelevents,with the formal program beginning at 9:05 am PT | 10:05 am MT.

Throughinformative exhibits, a keynote lecture, two interactive workshops of choicepre-selected from a catalogue of options, and discussion with a panel ofacademics/professionals from various related fields, our goal is to educateparticipants about the vast array of careers that exist in the health scienceswith the hope of sparking an interest in pursuing a career in health care. Theevent also includes three breaks which also offer participants an optional peernetworking opportunity.

 From acatalogue of options, participants will select their own workshops of interestduring the student registration process. We are currently developing theworkshop catalogue to include a variety of presenters from across WesternCanada. The catalogue is expected to be available mid-October.

This virtualfield trip is considered an individual learning opportunity. Participants willrequire their own email address, access to a computer/laptop/Chromebook,headphones, microphone, webcam (optional), internet connection and a quietspace (at home, school or community centre/library).
